Drama and Art 

n Whole School Production – ‘The Wizard of Oz’ – Open to Years 7-11 – Rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school – see Miss Walsom for audition details

n Lower School Production – ‘Shakespeare In The Woods’ – beginning in March 2010 – performance in July 2010. Years 7 and 8 only

n Drama Studios - available for rehearsal of student performances by arrangement with Mr Green

n KS3 Art Clubs – see Art teachers to sign up for a six week slot (lunchtimes)

n GCSE Art - studios available for student workshops by arrangement with Mr Flower

Music

Lunchtime:-

Monday:

Ukelele Orchestra in Room 39 - It’s as easy or as hard as you can make it. Come on and give it a try..Instruments available or bring your own

Tuesday:

*** Guitar Group in Room 39A***

Wednesday:

Junior Band  Room 40 – For all musicians from beginner to Grade 3.

Senior Choir  Room 39 – For experienced singers in Years 9 –13.

Thursday:

Jazz and Soul Band in Room 40 – For musicians Grade 3 and above.

Friday:

African Drumming- room 40

Junior Choir – years 7 &8 Only – room 39a

Ask your music teacher for an early lunch pass or bring your sandwiches to eat in the room. All activities start at 1.15. *** Starred Activities with visiting instrumental teachers start the week beginning 14th or 21st September***

After School:-

Tuesday and

Thursday:

Music Surgery in Room 39   3.30- 4.40 - Help with theory, aural, GCSE performance and composition, etc.

Come and use the computers or arrange practise sessions for your own music.

Wednesday:

Concert Band in Room 40, 3.30- 4.30 - For all woodwind, brass, and percussion players, grade 3 +

 

School Production Rehearsals ‘The Wizard of OZ’  - 1st half of Spring Term 

Rock School - Sessions available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday for £50 a term for ten weeks; minimum number in a group = 5; see Miss Young in the Music Department or Mrs Jackson in Student Reception for more details about Rock School
