Race Report

Following problems the previous day at the Essex heat Franc N. behaved impeccably in Kent and was running in a solid 4th position just behind the 3 Bexley Business Academy cars. As two of the Bexley three qualified the previous day in Essex 4th would have been good enough to qualify for the final. Unfortunately in the last hour of the race, not one, but two punctures put the car in the pits for long enough for us to drop to 10th and out of contention. We were able to just get the car out in time to complete a final lap and take the chequered flag. We finished in 10th out of 17 competitors having completed 75 laps.

Despite disappointment at falling out of the qualifying positions Franc N. did show that he could keep pace with the best cars and, tyres aside, showed excellent reliability. Our drivers gained some much needed experience both in the car, in the the pits and in planning their future race strategies.
