What is Greenpower?

Greenpower is a national endurance racing series for electric cars built by schools and colleges from around the UK. Cars must be built around a standard 24v electric drive motor and utilise a standard pair of 12v lead acid batteries. The series is based on a series of endurance marathon and sprint events throughout the country using well known motor racing circuits. Cars compete in local heats across the country with qualifying cars going through to the 70+ car final at Goodwood.

Philip Morant has competed in the Greenpower series since 2002 and during that time a large number of students have gained engineering, racing, team building and organisational experience. The series takes in a number of world-class racing venues around the country giving young drivers a very hands-on taste of motorsport.
