The Importance of History
History is a popular and successful subject here at The Philip Morant School & College. History is taught in all years by specialist teachers with a wide range of experience. We are always focused on making sure our students find their lessons interesting and enjoyable and our prepared to do well in formal assessments.
Key Stage 4 (GCSE)
Students follow the AQA specification and study four Units over the two years which are:
1) Russia, 1894–1945: Tsardom and communism
2) Conflict and tension between East and West, 1945–1972
3) Britain: Health and the people: c1000 to the present day
4) Norman England, c1066–c1100.
